A delightful tale but very much felt like a tv movie. Washington directs this tale of a man who falls in love and then dies in combat but leaves behind a journal for his son. Its very sad in parts and its a true story. I really enjoyed this and the lead up to their romance is wonderful 4/5 |

A well made creepy tale with some stunning scenes and acting. This a classic story remade and it was well worth doing. Some scenes are just breathtaking and Lily Rose Depp was amazing. Eggers is brilliant 4/5
