This played like a out and out revenge thriller which was repulsively gory and violent. As you start to wonder how the superb Maskell survived a fireball death and hole in a ground the film takes a fantasia twist. I went with the twist and i liked this ALOT 4.5.5 |

A well made creepy tale with some stunning scenes and acting. This a classic story remade and it was well worth doing. Some scenes are just breathtaking and Lily Rose Depp was amazing. Eggers is brilliant 4/5
