This was superb. A tale of a small child yearning to be an artist who best friend is black. In the Regan era he is moved away from his friends to a new school but he still harbours desires to draw. This child is superb, the story is excellent it never veers into schmaltz its adult and clever. Hopkins is great and Hathaway is a revelation 4.5/5 |

A well made creepy tale with some stunning scenes and acting. This a classic story remade and it was well worth doing. Some scenes are just breathtaking and Lily Rose Depp was amazing. Eggers is brilliant 4/5
