This was odd. It looked good but it was extremely clumsy and the twist at the end was daft and didnt really work. Smelt like the orphanage meets pans labyrinth, pulled off neither. McKay is good as is Joy but this was a yucky mess 3.5

A well made creepy tale with some stunning scenes and acting. This a classic story remade and it was well worth doing. Some scenes are just breathtaking and Lily Rose Depp was amazing. Eggers is brilliant 4/5
