Absolutely scathing reviews BUT this was an absolute hoot from start to end. It could have been a little darker for me but overall it reminded me of Heavenly creatures. A scorned woman accused of a childhood murder returns home for a slice of delicious revenge. Winslet and Davis are a great double act. All the cast are a dream 4.5/5

A well made creepy tale with some stunning scenes and acting. This a classic story remade and it was well worth doing. Some scenes are just breathtaking and Lily Rose Depp was amazing. Eggers is brilliant 4/5
