This was an ok read but the author hadn’t nailed both voices. The mum was the stronger of the 2. Amelia commits suicide so the police think but told via flash backs we discover the truth. The whole back story with the girls at school felt dated and Ben was a weird off shoot to the story. Overall it was interesting 3.5/5

A well made creepy tale with some stunning scenes and acting. This a classic story remade and it was well worth doing. Some scenes are just breathtaking and Lily Rose Depp was amazing. Eggers is brilliant 4/5
