The best kind of horror. Slow, atmospheric, unsettling, haunting, stunning and creepy. The witch has all of this and more. Its a little wicker man meets Blair witch with a heavy dose or folk lore and fairy tale. There is even a smidgen of del Toro. The 2 kids are superb actors, the girl in particular carries the film. The ambiguous story in particular the end is extradinery 5/5 |

A well made creepy tale with some stunning scenes and acting. This a classic story remade and it was well worth doing. Some scenes are just breathtaking and Lily Rose Depp was amazing. Eggers is brilliant 4/5
