An interesting documentary and a good Q+A from the directors. Maplethorpe didn’t come across well and some of his pictures seemed to shock more than anything else. From a purely biopic documentary this works well but they decided to tag on some court case which happened after his death which didn’t seem to work. Other than that its interesting captivating and utterly insightful
