This was very TV movie and a bit daft in places but Pauline Collins was wonderful but Joan was rather unlikeable and stupid. An aging actress goes on a trip to France to an old flames funeral and a new friend tags along as she comes to terms with a family tradegy

A well made creepy tale with some stunning scenes and acting. This a classic story remade and it was well worth doing. Some scenes are just breathtaking and Lily Rose Depp was amazing. Eggers is brilliant 4/5
